Free growth audit

See why you're not ranking for your keyword

Enter your page and the phrase you want to be found for. We fetch the page live, measure the on-page signals that decide rankings, and show you the fixes in priority order. No card, no call, no obligation.

We only read the public HTML of the page you enter. Nothing is changed and no login is required.

How it works

Three steps, about twenty seconds

01

We fetch your page

We request the public HTML of the exact URL you give us — the same thing Google's crawler sees. Nothing is changed and no access is needed.

02

We measure the signals

Titles, meta description, heading structure, keyword placement and depth, content length, internal linking, alt text, canonical tags, structured data, HTTPS and mobile viewport.

03

You get prioritised fixes

Every finding is scored against your target keyword and ordered by likely impact, so you know what to change first rather than being handed a 40-page PDF.

The audit covers on-page factors for one page and one keyword — the area where independent pubs, restaurants and boutique hotels most often lose ground to national booking platforms. It does not measure backlinks, review velocity or Google Business Profile health; those sit inside our paid retainers.

FAQs

Free audit questions

What does the free audit actually check?
We fetch your page live and measure the on-page signals that decide whether you can rank for a keyword: title and meta description, H1 and heading structure, keyword placement and depth, word count, internal and external linking, image alt text, canonical tags, structured data, HTTPS and mobile viewport. Those measurements are then scored against your target keyword.
Is it really free, and is there a catch?
It is free and there is no card, no contract and no obligation. You see your score and priority fixes on screen straight away. If you want the full written report and a human walkthrough, you can leave your email — but the on-screen findings are yours either way.
Which page should I enter?
Enter the exact page you want to rank with that keyword, not just your homepage. If you want to rank for 'sunday roast in Bath', audit your Sunday roast page. If you want 'boutique hotel Cotswolds', audit the room or destination page that should win it.
Does this replace a full SEO audit?
No. This covers on-page factors for one page and one keyword, which is where most independent operators lose ground. It does not measure backlinks, Google Business Profile health, site speed at scale or competitor gaps — those are part of our paid engagements.
Why does keyword choice matter so much?
A page can be technically strong and still fail because it targets a term nobody searches, or a term dominated by national booking platforms. Pick the phrase a real guest would type before booking, including the town or dish where relevant.
What happens after the audit?
Most operators fix the high-priority items themselves in an afternoon. If you would rather we did it, the £49.99/week Starter Package covers it all — and the audit findings become the first week's work plan.

What the audit checks

Four checks that decide whether a hungry local finds you or your competitor

Hospitality search is unusually winner-takes-most. Somebody deciding where to eat on a Friday night rarely scrolls past the first three results, and almost never past the local map pack. The audit therefore does not grade your website in the abstract — it checks the four things that decide whether you appear at the moment the decision is made, and puts them in the order we would fix them.

Every finding is tied to a page, a profile or a booking step you control, so you can hand the report to whoever manages your marketing and they will know exactly what to do next — whether that is us, an in-house marketer or your web developer.

1. Where you actually rank right now

We pull the live search results for your target keyword and show the exact position of your website, your Google Business Profile and any OTA or directory listing standing in front of you. If Booking.com, TripAdvisor or a delivery aggregator is outranking your own site for your own venue name, you are paying commission for traffic you already earned.

2. Which competitor pages are winning, and why

For every page ahead of you we look at what it covers: menus in readable text, opening hours, location detail, booking links, review volume and the questions it answers. That comparison becomes the content plan — you are not guessing what Google wants, you are looking at what it is already rewarding in your postcode.

3. Whether your local presence is complete

Category accuracy, service attributes, photos, review recency and response velocity all feed local pack placement. A venue with an out-of-date profile and three-month-old unanswered reviews loses to a similar venue two streets away that keeps both current, even with a weaker website.

4. Whether the booking journey survives a phone

We walk the path from search result to confirmed table or room on mobile: page speed, tap targets, whether the menu is a PDF, how many steps stand between intent and confirmation, and whether the direct route is genuinely easier than the OTA route. Most lost bookings die here, not in search.
